AYLESBURY PRISON
Aylesbury Prison is a young offenders prison and run by the HMPPS as part of the south central region. It openend its doors in 1847 before turning into a womens prison then into a YOI prison in 1989.
The prison holds long term young offenders in various wings from A to G. Aylesbury prison is of victorian design and was even used as a girls borstal in 1930.
The prison offers full and part time educational programmes and a range of courses such as French, Art and PE. The prison also provides vocational courses and award based initiatives such as the D of E awards.
